Penn State Phriday

Yinzers,

Nittwits...that is all you need to hear. Are you ready for it? "Penn State loses another Big-10 game." On Sunday, the Penn State Nittany Lion basketball team got tied to the train tracks at Purdue. Final score was 66-46 in favor of the Boilermakers, the Nittany Lion's 9th straight Big-10 loss and their 10th loss in a row. Taylor Battle, David Jackson and Bill Edwards put up double digits at 13, 11 and 10, respectively.

The Nittany Lions then traveled to Columbus to take on that team from Ohio. And guess what..."Penn State loses another Big-10 game." Ohio State bested the Nittany Lions 75-62. Taylor Battle had 24 and David Jackson had 12. But to no avail, because the Nittany Lions lost their 10th straight Big-10 game and 11th overall. The Nittany Lions have now lost to every team in the Big-10 once (except Northwestern, whom they have not squared off against) and Illinois and Wisconsin twice.

The Lady Lions also played two games since we last spoke, also dropping them both. On a tour of the north country, the Lady Lions dropped one each to Michigan and Michigan State. The Michigan game was a heart-breaker as the Lady Lions lost 66-62. Michigan State made quick work of the Lady Lions 65-44. This brings the Lady Lions to a 3 game losing skid.

Your White team played last night against the Gold team. The White boys won handily 6-1 and moved their record to 3-2. I hope ynz checked out ComRadio on Wednesday night for the Western PA Sports Showdown.

For the Glory,
B Brog
