Well after all the hype of the 2009 NFL draft, this weekend was pretty overall average.Everyone knew the day before that Matt Stafford signed with the Detroit lions for a guaranteed 41.7 million dollars- not bad for being a douche bag. As for the rest of the media rage, all i hear about was how great the Patriots drafted, in fact they are the greatest drafters of all time- wrong, wrong , wrong.

We all know that the Pittsburgh Steelers and their staff know how to work the draft like no other team around. The Steelers went about business as usual this weekend with only one big surprise in the media- Hines Ward decided to renegotiate his contract to end his career with the steelers. 4 years and some money- lets face it he deserves it and he is the best teacher at his position since the great Jerry Rice.

I am glad that the Steelers have learned from the Franco Harris Mistake of years past- who the hell remembers Franco as a SeaHawk-no one.

The Pens/ Philly rivalry went a whole norther step this year, as the Pens closed the door on the Orange brigade it just shows you how the NHL may have the best rivalries. The penguins came back from a 3-0 deficit and went on to score two more goal.

Sidney Crosby( whom Philly thinks sucks) scored two of the final three goals. Geno Malkin set the tone with his hard play and rough stuff antics.but the true star of the GAME was number 25 Max Talbot. Max got his ass kicked and then motioned to the crowd to shut up- awesome hockey player move-

Well needless to say the Penguins are moving on to face the winner of the Devils/Canes Series that may end tonight if not they will go a game 7 which will be played on Tuesday putting the first game of round two on Thursday or Friday of this upcoming week.

Congrats to the Pens for a hard fought series, Tomorrow Draft preview of all the new steelers.

Oh by the Way the Pirates keep on winning- with pitching no less.

SO what the hell is Mel Kiper predicting now? ESPN thought that it would be great to have Count Dracula( MEL kiper JR) to analyse every aspect of the draft for the past two months- how boring can you get?

We all know that out of the top 15 draft picks everyone else is a total crap shoot. With that being said those top 15 draft picks can all be busts in one season. Just ask current savior of the Cleavland Browns Lady Quinn. He was supposed to set a new standard of excellence, instead the Browns fans have last place sewn up for a fourth straight year and a new Dog food commercial for the super bowl. Between all the talking heads at ESPN, they really cannot make proper judgement on a kids transition from College to the NFL. It would have to take a certain person in a certain system and an awesome set of circumstances for that player to be great.

-Hence Big Ben Rothelisburger's Rookie year at 15-1+ 1 playoff win. Not too many do it, in fact other than that instance I cannot remember on record when all the talking heads at the mothership were 100% right about a kid out of Hoboken NJ.

In our opinion thanks for being excited about the NFL, and thanks for trying to make the NFL a year long thing, but in the long run let me savor the 24 weeks I have every fall for the NFL-stop mock drafting me to death.

You could hear a Pin drop half way through the second period as the Pens led the Cryers in game 4 last night. My biggest complaint about the game the last night was that the announcers for VS couldn't pull any harder for the Flyers. "With a 3-1 win the Pens barely got by..........."

WTF......are you serious, what planet do you idiots live on. Even in Mathematics 110 you could turn to the Chinese kid up front ( the one that smells like the dorms) and say is 3 more than one? He would nod and smile..........not say "they are almost the same- epic fail vs , epic fail".

I have no point, I am blog -venting .Ask yourself today why do all announcers Hate Pittsburgh? I mean they would root for anyone over Pittsburgh - I mean anyone, killers , vagrants and half ass hockey teams like the Flyers. No one will ever pull for the teams from Pittsburgh.

As Part of the MSM, I am never out right mean to other fan bases- but Philly give me a break, way to evacuate the new spectrum(Wak-all over you Center ) as the pens went up 3-1. So Sunday the Pens went down to Philly 6-3. After questionable play and a short handed goal I knew that the game was dead in the water. The thing that stood out most of all was how classless the Fans in Philly were.

Now here is my disclaimer, I love Pittsburgh but our fans are not idiots- yes of course there will always be a fan or several that are idiots- but overall we have class. Philly fans are idiots.

Examples:

1. As a getting fired up tactic with the old school organ, the Orange Army chants Crosby Sucks.

2. The minute the Flyers took a 2 goal lead they fought everyone to take the finesse play ( actual hockey) away from the pens. I will agree this is the only chance that the Flyers have to win the series. If you can interrupt how our players play by bringing in Clubber Lange tactics so be it.

3. Orange out: this isn't classless it is just kind of dumb When watching the game i feel like I am driving in Springdale down the turnpike looking at all the Construction. This doesn't intimidate me it frustrates me.

4. This is homerism at it's best.

Well If the Pens win tonight that will set up the Clinching game of the series in Pittsburgh on Thursday night. This would be the best case scenario for us.GO PENS

The World Champion Pittsburgh Steelers returned to work yesterday, as the first of 14 off season workout took place. It was business as usual for the Steelers. When they asked Hines Ward about resigning a new contract his response was, we need to win another SB this year and then most likely for the 33 yr old retirement in the Black n Gold. The core of our players from last season are still there- but amazingly the big NFL story of the week is what is Tom Brady having for breakfast? Also I just heard the Tom Brady switched toilet paper this week , he is now a Charmin Man.

John Madden Called it a career late Thursday Afternoon, and after 30 years of Rambling about football , not flying anywhere and riding on the Outback bus he is done. I can honestly say that I never really liked JM but when I was in High School( until Present) he has the Best Football game possible. Without JM football for Xbox/PS2/PS3 there would be actually nothing to do.l

That Penguins squad last night was awesome. Please tell me where this team has been? The pens clearly out hustled , out played , out toughed' the Philadelphia Flyers last night 4-1. Are you kidding me- if the Pens continue to play at this level- well I think it will be a rematch with the Wings in the Cup.

Sidney is getting tough, I know everyone loves him already, but his on Ice play is improving with every game. He took it up a notch you cold tell just like Mario last night. I was so excited to see that happen.

So I have been slackin' actually my job has consumed a huge portion of my time- but Christmas has come early this year. Last night the NFL released the 2009 NFL Schedule and the Pittsburgh Steelers are ready to repeat. I know , I know I am that Jag yinzer who is already saying that we are going to win our 7th SB. This is another example why all kids today wear helmets when they ride their bike. Or why kids don't go outside and play with the neighborhood kids ,unless they all receive trophies at the end of the year. Reality TV is becoming like the menacing vine Kudzu, growing at rapid speed and consuming everything in its path. I have to admit that I occasionally partake in certain reality shows. I don't know if it makes me feel better about myself or it's just completely outlandish to watch people make fools of themselves on national television. Whatever the case may be I'm going to have to pick Rock of Love. For those of you not fortunate enough to have experienced such epic television I am truly sorry. ROL is on its third season, this time Brett hits the road with two tour buses, or as many may say, "Meat Wagons." Ah yes, Brett has once again brought the best of the best from around the country to re-define the definition of "road head" or in his case "rolling orgy." Sure there are those ladies that are just after their 15-seconds of fame, hoping that some Hollywood agent will see them for all their glitz and glamour, get them a show and continue on the cyclical tradition of "trash television." For others, it's a heart-felt memory, as they travel down the (3 week) path of lust and love to get their man, Poison front man Brett Michaels. Here's to you Brett, you're living many-a-man's fantasy, and you're doing it with poise, dignity and respect. Rock On!

I was actually overwhelmed by the amount of sports going on Mon/Tuesday I had to take a whole day to try and prepare what I was going to MSM about. First of all the National championship is being played in about 2 hours, The Spartans and the Tarheels are heading out to see whom the best college Bball squad is this year. The bittersweet part of this is, I really don't care who wins but it is the last little bit of competitive basketball until October.

As for this being the First week of MLB baseball I am torn how i feel . I grew up a Pirates fan and they dominated in the 80's and half of the 90's now they are looking to complete their 17th consecutive loosing season. I am happy to listen to the bucos - but with no Lanny in the Booth I have to depend on that Pervert Bob walk( yeah Mrs. B pervert).Hands off the goods bob...

The one shining hope for Pittsburgh fans is that Tuesday Night the Penguins will lock up a playoff spot when the trounce the wanna be penguins The Tampa Bay squealers. This will give us a 6 seed in the east and we can battle from there. Love NHL playoffs.

Finally the Heckler brought this to my attention that the Louisville Wemons Basketball team is playing for the National championship vs that arrogant bunch of lady likers in the UCONN basketball team. I questioned the women's basketball thing to the heckler he did not respond.

UFC president , PENN STATE and fantastic 4 Weekend!

So much going on in this upcoming weekend. Pens at Hurricanes Saturday 7pm- check local listings. Along with the Final Four live from Ford Field in Detroit. Since the Panthers and the cardinals are out I am done watching until Monday. Finally UFC is trying to go mainstream. It is trying to become a legitimate sport with Legitimate fans etc. merchandise etc. etc. etc.

Yesterday UFC co owner and President Dana White went off on a female reporter calling her everything but a white woman. This video is quite explicit and Vulgar .....you should go to the link and watch it at your will. I do not know what to think of this billionaire whom just trashes this reporter. If you are trying to make a name for yourself and your company, should you not try to act a little professional in your weekly blog? i guess not just like the fights and the pay per views I guess Dana white just shows us that everything in the UFC is balls out. Finally the Penn State Nittany Lions finished their quest to become NIT champions, over 26 buses from State College PA made the trip and the Boys from Beaver had a real garden Party. Congrats to the 2009 NIT Champs.

Pretty boring Thursday, The NIT final is tonight with Baylor and PENN State. I of course am pulling for the Lions whom have had an unbelievable season. I don't think I have ever seen Penn State Basketball do anything before. WE ARE PENN STATE.

So I just got a call from a guy whom graduated from Upper Saint Clair High School in (near )Pittsburgh, and his mom works in the Front office of the Pittsburgh Steelers. She said that the Front Office just sent out a request to approach the Denver Broncos about a trade for Jay Cutler.

This is the first time that we have ever had News like this on the MSM. I don't know how I feel about Jay Cutler becoming a steeler- in fact I welcome it. I think that having a little bit of drama will probably help us in this upcoming season. I think that teams like Dallas , and Cincinnati have a great pattern that ,in turn one day by buying into alot of individualistic players will end up winning the title. I can't believe that the Rooneys are going to go out and get another Plexico Burress in Jay Cutler. I am excited and I welcome this upcoming trade-in fact I welcome it on April 1st 2009.
