Fellow Pittsburgher and Famous Oxy Clean Pitch man Billy Mayes passed away this Saturday . Mayes played football in WPIAL when growing up. We wish his family well.

So for not blogging but I will be on the road throughout this week on Business in the ATL. It is a payed business trip and my sports consumption will be limited.

Penguins Euphoria!

So I finally have a day off from work and can enjoy the Pens cup victory. There are actually allot of story lines playing out after the Cup . Lets start with how phenomenal the Parade was. This is no lie I have received over 300 pictures from the Night we won the cup, to a guy that was in the Locker room when Mario drank from the Cup in Detroit. ( Thanks Nate) Thank you for all the Parade pics, from my aunt and the Brognano's.

The only thing that bothers me, and maybe I am listening to the media for it , is when they just keep harping on Sidney Crosby not shaking hands to some loser douche' bag from Detroit. Can you seriously complain about something else. Not showing up , celebrating , and not shaking all the members of the opposing teams hands. Give me a f'n break.

The only person to stand up for Sid was Marian Hossa? Are you serious, the guy whom dissed Pittsburgh is now standing up for SID? Ok is this turning into wrestling just a little bit. What if, the Pens Signed Hossa this year for a one and done deal? How weird would that be.

How cool was it that Geno Malkin's Parents are local Celebrities? When they first defected in a sheep carton out of Someshitz-ilvania, we all thought it was cloak and dagger stuff. Now Yinzers realize it is just the second coming of JJ? Maybe it is starting to play out like that. Only in Pittsburgh, where two freaking foreigners can be celebrities, oh wait everyone in Pittsburgh is a foreigner too- yinz go figure.

Like I said before , I am so excited for this year. I know we have won Two championships ridiculous- but now I want as much Black and Gold as I can handle. I will have more Pics for you in the days ahead and July 1st we will start the MSM tournament Year 2 !

City of Champions once again!

When my parents were growing up and when I was very small, too small to remember, the City of Pittsburgh was coming off one of the greatest 10 year runs in sports History. We had 4 x super bowl champions , 2 world series championship, University of Pittsburgh National championships and a Heisman Trophy winner. It's the greatest ten year run by any city in professional sports history.

So this is what it feels like, personally I can't believe this is happening. I am actually experiencing two world championships in the same year. What a feeling. I am so proud to be from the City of Champions !

So I try not to put tons of Pictures up of dumb stuff that we do here at the Igloo Club 222( add yourself on Facebook) But these Stanley cup pics just had to be shown. We had a Stanley Cup( smaller version) and a few beverages......Thank you to all whom took part and we look forward to the many years to come in the future!!!

It weighs 35 pounds. It takes a whole team to lift it. If you are lucky you may get to raise it one time. It's the oldest piece of hardware in North America. It is the holy grail at the end of the toughest set of Playoffs in Professional sports.

We're not flashy, we do our job, we appreciate our city,we work hard one more time were Pittsburgh.

So here we are one day from game 7. Un F'n believable. MAF was a factor any way you look at it, he has made the big saves from game to game for us. But if you listen to the National media, he still doesn't hold a candle to 91 yr old phenom Chris Osbad.Yes the wizard of OZ is very good at his feeble age, but what people don't understand is that we have seen allot of growing up in the right direction from this team in this series.

The penguins are now ready to do something extraordinary. There has only been 15 game 7's in NHL history. Along with only two road teams to take home the cup on opposing ice. The pens kind of have that Pittsburgh Steeler us against the world mentality- no one is giving us a cold shot in hell's chance in Detroit on Friday- and for that I say thank you.

Big story lines still unfolding, what will Geno or SID do? Is it Billy g"s time or is it time for the Playoff Warrior R. Fedetenko to take over!

I love being in this situation one more time. Talk about squeezing the most out of your hockey season.

I hope you are reading this with a smile on your face, and you stayed out in front of the Civic Arena and drank Irons all night.

Ok so yesterday I had a great feeling about last nights game long before they dropped the puck. I mean not an overconfidence but just a powerful confidence about the penguins. Maybe it was from listening to all the Penguins interviews over the past two days. Everyone sound cool , calm and ready to come back- and that they did. The superstars scored and the VS announcers are trying hard to figure out how the greatest team on Earth( Red things)could possibly lose two games straight.Boggaling?

Also it doesn't hurt when you are checking out at Walmart and you see a Midget checking out in front of you. The last time that happened to me ,Jordan Stall got a short handed goal and the series was tied going back to Detroit.

So the F'n Internet at the Igloo club( apartment )has been down for the past few days- and there is much to be excited about.

The pens are right where they want to be, underdogs , that is what the epitome of being a Pittsburgh fan is . Also no one is bringing up the 6th seed in the playoffs? Last time the Steelers were a 6th seed they ran the table for the thumb.

The critics and the squid fans are a little nervous as they get out of bed this morning , not knowing what is scarier the fans inside the Igloo or the drunk crowd watching Mario's TV outside. All i know is we are far from done.(some one needs to beat that JAG)

Don't inscribe that cup just yet, still Waiting for sid and Geno to get it going- their time is now!
