Chunky soup Talking head and Super Bowl Champion Micheal strahan has decided to call it quits. Other than he should go on to be a great spokesperson for the ADA( American Dental Association) I have to say that he was an ok athlete. Not allot of trouble and great attitude on and off the Field.

In other NFL news the Chicago Bears released Cedrick Benson following his arrest early this week with illegal prescriptions. Yeah note to self I make a gazzilon dollars a year playing a sport for my living- let me go out and screw it up immediately. He should contact Micheal Vick sometime and talk about what winners they are-seriously.

Finally I am kind of disappointed from the Nix Hater, what no new word to unleash greatness on the world. Just a bunch of math problems that no one can understand. The morning steel mill still awaits greatness.

It's my 31st Monday!

Hey Ya'll ,

First off Hooray for me. Today is my 31st birthday- I have survived some dumb stuff through those first thirty one years and today is my day.

Well over the weekend we found out what Brown couldn't do for any of us, win the triple Crown. I find it a shame that it has been close to thirty years without a triple crown winner. I mean Horse racing is no joke( like baseball) there is plenty of money and plenty of influential people- including lots of little people. I hope that the next horse can actually do it next time around- oh and litte people I meant jockeys.

I bought the UFC fight this past Saturday night at the abode. I have to tell you that it was one of the better ones I have seen. Not a lot of knockouts, but Matt Hughes did get put down pretty bad. Just like the paragraph before I hope the next one is a lot better. ( no midget reference)

Last night I attempted to watch the NBA finals, lots of history and two of the most marketable teams in the league. I am picking the Celtics in 6. They are very top heavy in scoring and it would be WICKED cool IF DOS" CELTS CAN BEAT LA. @#$* em up?( Boring as hell)

Finally to respond to some of the comments I have been receiving I appreciate all the good and especially the bad. But to the Heckler and his vast Diction the Steel Mill is anticipating the next vocabulary feat of genius. We wait not for a cool sixteen ounce glass of HATER-ADE but just pure genius.

Friday Night's alright

Hey Ya'll,

So here it is the final day of the week. For the first time of the month I am not going on the road this weekend. Great week for the NIX , I have been on the road with Tyler most of the week.

UFC is live in ENGLAND This weekend, originally Chuck Lidell was supposed to fight but a ripped hamstring kept him form this fight- and Matt Hughs has stepped into fill the superstar position-he in my opinion is one of the most complete fighters of all time. I wish him the best of luck .

No more Hockey, few months from football- so this is called Summer. When we were kids we loved summer, now as a kinda-adult I just can't wait till football. My friend Travis and I get so excited for training camp I believe this is the first of all my big problems.

Oh well, wooooooo is me. Everyone enjoy your weekend!

Well the run is over, The Penguins fell 3-2 last evening to the Stanley Cup Champions Detroit red wings. Oh well what can you do . On paper the Penguins were absolutely fabulous- but on the score board not so much. Now the off season shenanigans of of whom is staying and whom is going will start in about a week.

Thanks for a great season, it was quite a run and quite a team. The Redwings were very good, but you have to realize we still have the best fans and the greatest sports city in the world.

City of Columbia Mayor Bob Coble stopped in the Morning Ya'll turnative this morning and we came up with some new city slogans. Here were my 6 slogans for the great city of Columbia:

SUPER, SUPER Wedensday!

Hey Ya'll,

Well as a fan you always look forward to big games. The feeling is different when your team is on the brink of elimination. As a Pens fan we have had many uPs and downs but the last game was one of best games I have ever seen.

I hope the Pens Win and we can see the last game on Saturday. Gary Roberts is sitting and waiting they better be scared.

This past weekend KIMBO SLICE fought on Saturday, I am an avid UFC MMA fan, the fight was a little disappointing. I had the feeling that CBS needed KIMBO to win to push MMA on the mainstream level. It has been a long time since we had a Friday/Saturday night fight on prime time. The thing that I can comment on other the fight was that when KIMBO was interviewed post fight he admitted on how much more he has to learn. If he was to fight someone in the middle of UFC he would be decimated.

Penguins Tuesday !

Hey Ya'll,

Let me start by saying Matt and I have not slept since the last goal in 3 overtimes last night. The Penguins survived and conquered game 5 in Detroit. The NBC broadcast was an absolute joke. Nothing about the Penguins, they practically engraved the cup in Joe Louis for the WINGS.

Petr Sykora- we love you in a hockey way , not that other way- you know Detroit way?

GO ahead and check my meter. Hey Detroit fans what happened in the second and third OT periods? Why were there so many empty seats?Did you all run out of Octopus? Give me a break Hockey-town . Matt said that you ran out of glow sticks because of all the RAVE music you play from Dance , Dance revolution- ( worst arena music ever). NOOOOO cup for you!

So here we are again , game six from the IGLOO Wed night, this is bigger than two Fat boys wrestling over a cup cake. Check your listings for what ever two announcers will be on hand to bash the Penguins repeatedly. Hey guys don't shave those beards just yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Case of the Mundays?

Hey Ya'll,

Just jumped off the big steel bird back from Louisville- had an excellent time as usual. My Liver is looking for donations for a new liver. Enough said. Great to be back in the capital City. Oh by the way the Josh day ALL-Stars lost in the Semi-finals of the St. Elizabeth Basketball tournament. What a shame, we all Had a great outing and with one more win could have been champs , Possibly it will be 7th time the charm to repeat for the ole' NIX.

The Camera had a major break down along with the phone this weekend , so not many photos taken. Here was the agenda, Thursday Commissioner Jerry day took the Boys out for a nice afternoon/night of wagering at the illustrious Church Hill downs. It was a great time. Friday Was the First round of the tournament ( where we had a big win) Saturday the same and then the actual 10 hour tournament on Sunday. It was a Good run, and another great coaching experience. Oh by the way life time coaching record for the NIX stands at 33-10.

Scotty Kinderman provides us with the next feel good picture which on second glance also is not what you think( it's his leg). I know almost inappropriate. Pretty good stuff though.
