So this weekend was a sports packed cornucopia for the avid sports fanatic. In the biggest dumb ass move this year in sports goes to - Al Davis the Owner of the Oakland Raiders. The once proud franchise that is now an AFC doormat made Nimandi Asomugha the highest played overrated player in the NFL. He signed a two-year deal worth $28.5 million, all of it guaranteed, with a club option for a third year that would pay him another $16.8 million or the quarterback franchise tag number, whichever is higher. That adds up to $45.3 million over three years, $15.1 million per year, and even the $14.25 million average over the first two years is an NFL record. Someone needs to change Skelator's Bong water for him. I feel bad ,yes I do that one of the toughest NFL franchises of all time is just condemning itself for years to come.

Big weekend for the Gamecocks as we unveiled the new Gamecock stadium, basically right next to my house. All in all I was more excited for my neighbors, Blair and Matt they were thrilled and avid Gamecockers. What I was not thrilled about is the student seating section that does not exist. We had tried to stand along the fence on a hill with no seats and got booed by johnny come lately- in our section. So after building a 38 million dollar stadium there is no where for us to sit- just great. I was interviewed this morning by the daily gamecock and SCTV for how disgusted I was. ( OOh big time) Hey it's no Willam Brice.

Mens basketball turned out a 4 point winner in ot. nice next up inbreds from Lexington. Lock up the cattle.

It was one of the most exhausting games to watch ever. It had more up and downs than Tom and Jerry cartoon. It was Gonchars first game back at home and he did not disappoint with his first goal of the season. 23 games left to go , starting with our cross state rivals the Philadelphia Flyers. Game time 1pm.

The Garnet Army have a tall task this weekend as we open up the new Baseball stadium on Saturday afternoon at 2pm when the cocks host Duquesne. After that We Head to the Garnet Army Position to watch our 18-6 Bball team take on those hogs from Arkansas 7 pm tip.

This gamecock squad is kind of unpredictable and they leave all the excitement to winning games until under 4 minutes of the second half. First year coach Darren Horn has this (7-4) squad in a tie with 3 other teams atop of the east. Tennessee lost at Ole Miss last night- why? Kentucky comes to town here next Wednesday. So lots of basketball left. interesting.

So tonight the South Carolina Gamecocks had a pep-rally for their student section the Garnet Army. So far this season the Gamecocks are 17-5 and undefeated in SEC play at home. We have three home games remaining and I think that the gamecocks may make the tournament.

In Rivalry Week action PITT basketball went head to head in the Back-Court Brawl at the PETE up in Oakland tonight. early on the Panthers struggled with Blair and Fields going out about the 8 minute mark of the first half. Final at the PETE: PITT 79-59

Duke and North Carolina play tomorrow night in Durham, I have been lucky enough to go to that game a few years back. Franklin Street in Chapel Hill is the place to be.

Louisville KY is of course my second home next to the Burgh, the Cardinals are on the road to do big things this year. But they have to quit having nail bitters every night. I wish the heckler would have words with them .

In another knockout Rivalry game that I have been a part of, Mizzou hosted Kansas tonight. I can honestly say that Jay hawk fans( gus primus not included) are the biggest A holes- next to A rod( not our rod but the Yankees rod). The only tigers that I like.

So I am back to reality here in cola. Pittsburgh was everything and more for the Steelers. It was by far on eof the most exciting games I have watched in my adult life. I have only one complaint why is it when one team wins a championship that everyone else has to Bitch about absolutely nothing. "smokey wasn't in" ,Kurt didn't fumble, Arizona still sucks- ok give me a break people.
