So the Penguins are starting to look pretty ordinary. Lets Just say that the Month of February was a rough one for the Boys of Winter. Without the Likes of Geno Malkin and Sidney Crosby the Penguins except for between the pipes look pretty normal. Now Normal is not a bad thing and in Hockey you can get on Streaks. A Streak is something that can help in any sports that can propel a team to a championship. Ray Shero is a managing Genius, yeah he is. He has put together quite a team over the last 6 years and he still has the means to improve his product. With these last trades and the three players brought in making immediate impact the Penguins will be alright. But they won't be if they have another February.

We are also on the verge of an NFL Lock out. Ah Greed has overcome both sides of the negotiation process. This could be the beginning of the end for the 2011 NFL season. Chernobyl.

On the other end of the situation the Pittsburgh Panthers are still wining and still heading for that big showdown this weekend vs. Villanova for the Big East Regular season championship. If not the Irish will get that honor.

Penguins hockey , End of the NCAA regular season this weekend, and possibly the end of NFL for next year.

Alot to take in, better start a Backup plan.........

Late this afternoon a report came from North Texas , Mike Tomlin reported that M. Pouncy and Aron Smith would not be ruled out for Super Bowl 45. A few hours later the report came out from ESPN that both players were ruled ineligible. ( Pictured above Casey Hampton Is eligible and Hungry)

From the Steelers point of view , they will go to work with as many able bodies that it is necessary to get the job done. Back ups will do their job because that is what they do. It's the Steeler way. The Blue collar way. The winning way.

Troy Polamalu has just been named the AP defensive player of the year. Please let me know whom else was on this list? Oh that's right no-one that matters.

MSM Live( almost live ) Super Bowl week Coverage!

Sorry for yelling, The steelers are leaving for North Texas in about an hour. I am sure that local news in the burgh' is just going nuts with every bit of useless knowledge available. To be completely honest it is a little much, but I love it. I mean whom doesn't want to read about Keisel brushing his beard twice daily. Or that Ben has never called that girl back from Milledgeville. I mean this is coverage I can't live with.

So there is no real bad blood between the Steelers and the Packers. These two franchises mirror each other right down to not having cheerleaders present at games. Packer Backers are probably the second toughest fans in the NFL. Cold weather, little to do in town , Football is number one sounds kind of familiar. The MSM Will be giving you the most up to date coverage this whole week.

Buckle up , just like Texas this coverage is going to be BIG!

So this past weekend Jeff Reed kicker for the Pittsburgh Steelers was arrested at a Local Sheetz for ripping the Paper Towel dispenser off the wall and Punching it a few times. The authorities sited Reed with Public nuisance and Beating up a Paper towel Machine.

We here at the MSM have been told by authorities that the Paper towel machine had it coming all along( and it was made in Cleavland).

Black N' Gold Thursday!

Hey Yinzers,

So here it is, most Yinzers are probably getting into Tampa or the surrounding area today. The steel nation is painting Tampa Bay Black N gold as we speak. Like I said earlier in the week I have Huge Super Bowl Plans for this upcoming weekend. I am heading to Washington D.C. to the Freiss Compound to be reunited with Co-founder of the Steelers Nation in St. Louis David Freiss. Then I am heading to the Mecca, for what may be the Best week of my Life.

Washington, Pittsburgh- obliterated. I plan on cranking it up a notch with the Freiss boys like back in the day. I am very excited to see the rest of our group in the burgh in the upcoming week too. Mike, Jody, Jarvis, Chuck and other co-horts along the way. Yinz know what I mean.

As for the Game itself, I have been totally over confident all week and that scares me a little. I will tell you that if I hear one more heart felt story about How Brenda Warner's Husband is the best human on the planet I may throw up.




For the Steeler Organization , Fans and Super Fans( Like MSM) we live for things like this weekend. We are put on this planet I believe to do something, I know there are allot of ups and downs in life, but being a Steeler Fan means so much when you are from Pittsburgh. It is the top of the mountain for our city, It is the top of the mountain through the bad times and good. It is a rock that has helped allot of people get through hard times too. It is our standard. We are damn good at football, that is what we do.





I have no prediction for the game, I hope that everyone will say extra prayers to their patron saint this weekend, and if you have not posted a time to swing the towel well please do so on the Wave web site.


I will have alot of steeler and Pittsburgh reports this weekend when I can , I do not know the computer capabilities that I am walking into. If I do not get back till late next week I will make it up to the MSM in grand fashion.

Divisional Playoff Weekend.

Hey Yinzers,

So Today's match ups start with quite a dooosey! The Titans and the Ravens kick off at 4:30 today , this match up could go either way. I think that the Titans may have had too much time off to realize that they might not win this game. On the other hand I think that the Ravens even though with a rookie quarterback can win this game. If ED Reed slapped his girlfriend and he is pumped up for the game I think that Kerry Collins may not have a chance, and will probably return to his Coke career after the game.

The other match up is not getting any press here in Carolina at all. I am surprised because Charlotte is only 80 miles up the road. The Panthers host the Arizona Cardinals tonight in the late game. The Panthers may have their best team ever assembled. But the Cardinals really do have a jem at wide receiver( sorry Steve Smith) Larry fitzgerald from the University of Pittsburgh could catch a cold in a hurricane. If old man Warner can stay off his back with relentless pressure from Julious Peppers and the Carolina D then Arizona is moving on.
