Bloggity Blog Blog!!!!

Hey Ya'll ,

Sorry about missing the last 48 hours but I guess here in Kentucky Computers are scarce. To get everyone updated we played the first game of the ST. Elizabeth basketball tournament last night and our team won 49-45. It was a great first game back . We were down pretty early and then had quite a comeback in the second half.

We play again tonight at 7pm est. and then again in the first round of the actual tournament on Sunday at 1pm. When we win our first game we will then go to the semi finals at 3 then the finals at 7pm. Allot of the fans outside of friends and family told us we looked good last night - but in my mind we have a long way to go.

The pens return to the ice tonight to face those dumb red wings one more time. Since the pens are back in the IGLOO for the second night in a row we know it will be another white out. AWESOME. By the way Gary Roberts may be playing the games of his life. LETS GO PENS!!!!!

Big Thanks to the Day family and The Day Compound for having my lodging arrangements for this weekends festivities.

Jeff Gordon signed a huge two year extension with HENDRIK motor sports that is awesome in my book and I hope before the next three years are up Jeff can get one more championship
before he finally leaves the track for ever.

I think the power on this generator is running out, gotta run till I am back in the Carolina's on Monday. Until then I hope ya'll listen to The Best of Show on New92 over the world wide intra-net!! have a great weekend.

Talk to ya'll next week

Traveling Willburies

Hey Ya'll,

Big day for the NIX taking the big flight into Louisville in a few hours. If you remember from yesterday I am coaching the Josh Day all stars in the St. Elizabeth Basketball tournament in German town KY. This is a big year for us because we have the long awaited return of a player that I have never seen play- Ryan Fehe(fay-hay). We are looking pretty good and will defiantly keep the mill up to date over this weekend.

Speedy recovery to Tyler and Turners- Tyler. He had a Biopsy on his vocal chords he was quite the trooper today and I am wishing him the best in his recovery this week.

The penguins are on the edge of almost elimination, and that doesn't boad well for Gary Roberts. He is still watching you right now.

Just got home from seeing the second installment of the NARNIA series, Prince Caspian. For the first time in my life I read the book before I saw the movie and now I know why I do not do such things like that. It was relatively the same but not on. Movie was great!

Well I hope all is well with the "fan club" and Can't wait for Church Hill Downs on Thursday Morning. I hope everyone has a great rest of the week, and hope we have some adventures to talk about along the way. Like ELBY"s Big boy for instance.

Talk to ya'll from the Bluegrass state tomorrow, until then take a listen to NEW92 on the world wide Internet.

Tuesday!

Hey Y'all,

Well Well well, what a weekend in Charlotte. Had a great time watching Tony Stewart blow a tire with 3 to go . Great back to back wins for the #9 Kasey Kahne mobile. The thing that I really like about Nascar is that it is really different from the other Major sports- it comes down to character people and how everyone in the sport treats each other. This matriculates down to the fans. Every time I attend a Nascar race I always meet the best people. It doesn't matter whom your driver is all that matters is that you have a great time. Much kudos to all the great people we met this weekend. Bobby, Chris and of course David best tailgators in da world.

Great New friends we met were Dean and his Tony Stewart crew. Can't wait to do it all again.

Big week for Myself as I head to the Bluegrass state one more time to coach my Men's basketball team for the 6th year in a row. Josh and Travis Day have asked me back again to take on the field at St. E in beautiful German town KY. We will have great coverage from the tournament as the week progresses.

Oh penguins, Now we are down 2-0 to the mighty Red wings. To tell you the truth we really were outplayed for the second night in a row. MAF had another good night but you can only give up so many chances. Wed will definitely be the braking or making point for the pens. Gary Roberts played his guts out last night- great job.

Have a great Tuesday- Ya'll,

THE long Weekend!

The UFC fight is live from Las Vegas this weekend, and Tito Ortiz is trying not to loose good luck with that. If I were him I would continue to date my porn star girlfriend and find another hobby- reality TV. Good luck on your beating.

Nice turn out for the Corn hole Challenge in front of the NEW 92 headquarters this morning. Great job by the staff to make it a successful time . Thanks to my multiple partners that helped the NIX go 4-1. Jimmy, Chris and Michigan. Thanks for coming out and getting your memorial day on!!!!

One last job, GO PENS I really hope they beat them there wings! There I said it i am a total homer. I wish every one a very safe and happy holiday weekend. Please be careful and if you are partying stay put- or get a ride.

Thursday May 22nd

Hey Y'all,

This is a monumental day for me. In 1968 Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood was first aired today in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I met Mr. Rodgers at my Ear Nose and throat doctor ,Dr. Busses ,in the burgh when I was very young. He brought many good messages to young parents and children alike on his show. I will probably take allot of flak for this today but I thought that I should totally give a shout out to the one time honorary captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins.

So we have all seen the movies ,where it is just a few days before the Asteroid/Tidal wave hits the earth and we all perish...........well this weekend not so much devastation ,but lots of sports. Stanley Cup Finals , UFC, Coca-Cola 600 etc etc etc.(It's the Anticipation follow me, follow me)

Thanks for all the questions and comments on the blog, here are some one word answers to all the questions:

BUMS
America
Yes, I peed in the Canoe

NO, Tiffany I will not call you.

Take a listen tomorrow morning when we will be playing for prizes in front of the New92 headquarters for a couple games of corn hole/baggo. Listen in for more details.

Y'all have a great day- neighbors,

HUMPY Wedensday!

Hey Y'all,

So it is official The long time father of Lowes Motor Speedway is stepping down after this Weekends Coca-cola 600. He really is a class act, Humpy Wheeler, at 69 years of age is still quite the showman. I wish Humpy continued success on his television show and his upcoming book about being apart of racing for the past 40 years.

I will be in attendance for the race this weekend sitting in turn numba' 1 down from the start finish line. It is the longest race on the circuit and one of the best. I totally encourage everyone to visit Lowes at least once in their racing life.

UFC is having a huge fight on Saturday night starting at 10pm est. Lets go over the main event. In the main event BJ Penn is fighting Shawn Serk here is the tale of the tape:

Shawn Sherk is a born Punching bag. But he is a total fighter , he can grapple he can hit he can be a punching bag.

BJ Penn is the real deal , I look for him to hit sherk in the mouth repeatedly, Winner by beating of a lifetime. I will go into a few more of the fights this week. Thanks to my non-expertise in this matter. I can really say that I am a huge fan of the fights.Since the fall off from boxing I really needed a manly man sport until football hits in the fall.

It is still backyard games week, Friday in front of the station in the capital city SD and I will be playing listeners for some great prizes . We will be in Cornhole/Baggo head to head match ups.

Thanks again for all the new friends that came out to the WING last night , if you didn't make it out last night you missed a great rendition of Johnny Cash's Jackson. ( by SD and I).

Y'all have a great mid week,

NO Hittin Tuesday!!!!

Hey Y'all,

Well it's not everyday that we can start off the day with a no-hitter thrown the night before. First off I am a die hard Pirates fan, but I do have allot of respect for the B-town Red sox. Last night If you didn't hear John Lester Threw a NO-hitter. In this day of instant gratification and two second romances. Lester went the distance and threw the 18Th no-no in Sox History. Pretty impressive. What is even more impressive is that Jason Veritek caught his fourth in Sox history.

Well Detroit punched their Stanley cup finals ticket last night. Congrats I guess. I know that Joe Lewis arena is very hard to play in. I also know that Detroit never even had any competition throughout the playoffs. They also throw alot of Fish. I understand that they were an original six team and that they have already "won" the Stanley Cup this year. Give me a freaking' break.

I would like to also thank all the support I have been getting , from all my Friends like Tony Pena in KC, To Dr. Day in Louisville. Also I would like to thank the Rach- for my New Penguins t-shirts. Word up.

I hope everyone enjoyed the show this morning, I know we sure did as usual. Keep on listening to hear what I am getting into in the days to come. NEW 92.1 in Cola or if you are out there on the world wide intra-net just log on at 92.1

Sd and I will be at the Wild Wing down town for country karaoke tonight from 9-11. Come see the DJ play a blow up blue guitar.- enough said-

Gary Roberts Is watching you , right now.

Have a great Tuesday Y'all

SIX Degrees of Philly's MOM!!!!!

Hey Y'all,

What a weekend First of all Had a great time at Fort Jackson and At the BASS masters at Lake Murray. The Fisherman were absolutely awesome and approachable. Their shirts were Nascar like. Never asked who was the Master of the baters'.Most of all I loved the 6-0 rout of the Flyers in game 5. Once again the penguins are back in the Stanley Cup final for the third time in two decades. AH yes Philly is totally done like dinner.

Get Well Gary Roberts, He is battling Pneumonia the past few games. We have 10-1 odds that he has already whipped the disease and made out with it's girlfriend.
Penguins Fans know we got jobbed last night in the wake of the worst broadcast in NHL/VS history. It was so obvious whom the network pulled for. I even tried in the third period to look at the game from a third person and the same message I got was WOW the Flyers are Gods gift to Hockey. OH and the Penguins are just hanging on till they finally loose their way out of the playoffs.

For this Rebuttal Meet my Old Friend and long time Pittsburgher Sauerkraut Saul:

This is what he had to say:

NIX: what did you think of Game 3 for the PENS?

SAUL: Think , The pens were not given a chance ,Orange Sucks and we all got Jobbed.

NIX: anything else ?

SAUL: I hope you eat lots of Pirogi this weekend with butter and onions. See you Yinzers Sunday. Blow me Rocky.

Well we are on the Road this weekend with Tyler and Turner and the morning Y'all turnative, Saturday with a Concert for the troops with Crossing Dixon at Fort Jackson. Then Sunday at Lake Murray Marina for the ELITE Bass Masters final round.

Thanks again to all the response the blog is getting, Scott from UofL and the boys from State PA. Check Out the New92.com for all the times and locations for where we are going to be.
