Not a whole lot to report from the Pittsburgh Penguins' newsroom. Fox Sports Net-Pittsburgh announced the TV broadcast schedule, an explanation of which can be found here.
The Consol Energy Center will also be hosting an NCAA and AHL double header during the week of the Bridgestone Winter Classic over at Heinz Field. On December 30th at 3:00 pm, Robert Morris University-who shocked #1 Miami, OH last year-will be hosting another Frozen Four competitor from last year: Rochester Institute of Technology. Following that game will be an AHL match-up between the Washington Capitals' affiliate Hershey Bears and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. This puck drops at 7:30 pm.
Tickets for the Pittsburgh Penguins' preseason games went on sale this past Thursday. The Pens will play the Detroit Red Wings on September 22nd, which will be the first ever hockey game at Consol Energy Arena. The Pens will also square off against the Columbus Blue Jackets for a home-and-home series on September 24th and 25th. The other exhibition is September 28th against the Chicago Blackhawks. Games are at 7:00 pm. The only game televised (as of now) will be the September 25th game against the Blue Jackets, which will be on KDKA.Let's go Pens,
