Ok so this is the only time that I can use weather jokes(hurricane related) in the Blog and it is relevant. Ok on a serious note Game two tonight at the Igloo 7:30 start- we defiantly need this win before we head into the RBC center this weekend in Raleigh.

I have to say that their home ice atmosphere(RBC) is quite intimidating, when they won the Stanley Cup the whole crowd did not sit one minute of regulation.

Former Penguin and Local Ryan Malone went on record from the Tampa Bay Lightning locker room saying that he is pulling for the Penguins to win the Stanley Cup. I hope at one point we get Bugsy Back.

In other sports nonsense- Micheal Vick, former Atlanta Falcons QB was released from Leavenworth Prison in Kansas yesterday morning. I can actually say that if the NFL lets this ass back in the league , then my favorite sport is turning into Roller ball/the running man. I really hope that the front office thinks hard about letting another known criminal back into the league. ( Leon Lett worked out real well)

Don't deface the Best Professional Sports league in the world by letting a known Dog Fighter back into it. He was a mediocre QB at best- seriously my opinion he was.

There is nothing really going on in Pro Sports right now- really there is nothing!

Are you serious? Letang buries it in overtime to beat the outplayed Caps last night 3-2.But the greatest part of the whole game for me was hearing the crowd( like any good Disney Movie) chant Geno, Geno,Geno for MIlkman. I don't know about you- but the Pittsburgh crowd wants him to succeed more than he knows. OT games are slowly killing me - I really don't know if I have anything left in the tank for friday night. I can't even imagine Pittsburgh when we win- what a party night down at Hightops(RIP).

Explain to me what other town , would chant a guys name who's been on the skid? Oh that's right nobody that I can think of. In fact I don't know if I have ever witnessed anything like that before. Pittsburgh once again is awesome and defiantly on another level.

So what now? Geno and Sid and Mcfluery hold up for one more game at home- white out again of course-plus I will be watching the game with a bunch of Yinzers from the burgh- can't ask for a better weekend.

So Sunday the Pens went down to Philly 6-3. After questionable play and a short handed goal I knew that the game was dead in the water. The thing that stood out most of all was how classless the Fans in Philly were.

Now here is my disclaimer, I love Pittsburgh but our fans are not idiots- yes of course there will always be a fan or several that are idiots- but overall we have class. Philly fans are idiots.

Examples:

1. As a getting fired up tactic with the old school organ, the Orange Army chants Crosby Sucks.

2. The minute the Flyers took a 2 goal lead they fought everyone to take the finesse play ( actual hockey) away from the pens. I will agree this is the only chance that the Flyers have to win the series. If you can interrupt how our players play by bringing in Clubber Lange tactics so be it.

3. Orange out: this isn't classless it is just kind of dumb When watching the game i feel like I am driving in Springdale down the turnpike looking at all the Construction. This doesn't intimidate me it frustrates me.

4. This is homerism at it's best.

Well If the Pens win tonight that will set up the Clinching game of the series in Pittsburgh on Thursday night. This would be the best case scenario for us.GO PENS

The World Champion Pittsburgh Steelers returned to work yesterday, as the first of 14 off season workout took place. It was business as usual for the Steelers. When they asked Hines Ward about resigning a new contract his response was, we need to win another SB this year and then most likely for the 33 yr old retirement in the Black n Gold. The core of our players from last season are still there- but amazingly the big NFL story of the week is what is Tom Brady having for breakfast? Also I just heard the Tom Brady switched toilet paper this week , he is now a Charmin Man.

Christmas comes Early!

So I have been slackin' actually my job has consumed a huge portion of my time- but Christmas has come early this year. Last night the NFL released the 2009 NFL Schedule and the Pittsburgh Steelers are ready to repeat. I know , I know I am that Jag yinzer who is already saying that we are going to win our 7th SB. Not true I am just fired up because after tackling the hardest schedule in NFL history this upcoming season we have the 4th Easiest schedule and the top easiest schedule of the AFC teams.

Mad man and LB James Harrison is Crunk today. He signed a 6 year 51.75 million dollar contract-that's allot of BENS. I think that he deserves it- he did have a 100 yrd reception in the super bowl for a touchdown along with the Defensive player of the year.

Pens Playoff 09'

So Home Ice is in our Favor, Geno won the Art Ross that is in our favor and we have the best player in the world. So we went a month ago from 10th to 4th place- guess who's back- the pens are poised to strike at another Stanley cup run. The Flyers don't have a chance.
