Oh my it may be the year. It may be the year the Pittsburgh Pirates break 500. Yes I know this is ridiculous just even bringing up such a statement. But you have to realize that people from Pittsburgh have the #1 baseball stadium in the United States and we don't have a team to put in PNC park.






OK so today is a huge day for the dark and disturbed in the world. ( not saying that dark and disturbed is such a bad thing) Friday the 13th one of the longest running slasher film franchises put it in our minds that no matter where you were camping Jason VOrhees will probably show up and slash you when you sleep. - I do have to say that scary movies today are not suspenseful or scary anymore, pretty much they are sick in a a way that is not even entertaining. The SaW franchise is the biggest waste of time.



BOSTON came back from the depths of despair being 20 points down in the third quarter last night. NBA basketball -It's almost FANtastic? BEANtown-3 LA-1 in the series.

US open for bussiness

Hey Ya'll,

So by a number of hands how many of you reading this are golf fans?Well if you are not this Blog probably will have nothing to do with you today- see you tomorrow. The US open is the only golf tournament on tour that any amature/ almost professional can participate in. It is a rigorous road to qualify and qualify and hell qualify again. Hell now that I think about it why would you put yourself through all that stuff to then go out and not make the cut at the actual tournament.

I have to say that I do give a great amount of credit to the College guys that make the cut , and a couple years ago the MILK farmer that made the tour. Yes here in America Milk farmers can play golf too.

Here are some things to look for in this US OPEN.

#1. Torrey Pines: the tournament travels every year and gives you and the players something to look at that is different. I guess it would be compared to going to the same strip club even though you have gone there your whole life- it gets boring. So does golf.

#2 Tiger Woods Knee: OH HIIIIIIIIIII, I'm Tiger woods, I make a gazillon dollars a year, I win tournaments, I'm Numba one in the whole world, I married a Swedish Nanny - ( Hey tiger we get it, shut up , putt , win leave us alone) No body really likes you .

#3 Lefty: Phil " Man Boobs" Michelson is every blue collar golfer out there with an extremely hot wife and a green jacket. Oh wait that is none of us actually. Scratch that. Phil is the only guy that any one can stand, because just like us he has man boobs.

So I never said I was an expert, Hell I'm 90-100 golfer , but I thought I would let every one know what they are missing because in your right mind are you really going to watch Golf for four days? I hope not.

Giving Back Wedensday!

Hey Ya'll,

So Here it is another installment of the Morning Steel Mill. I love all the responses That I have been receiving on the comments portion of the page. So I thought I would address a few of the greatest fans of the Web Site and Give them the Props that they deserve.

I have done a little research and this is what I came up with for NIXheckler and Bannana Hammock:

When they first met they were both very young male models that had a dream to take there fashion world wide. But with the extensive Basketball playing skills and large vocabulary they were kicked out of the JC penny fall catalog immediately.( Banana Hammock had a short stint later on as a hand model).

Following the end of their Modeling career they both enrolled in school and eventually went to college together where they studied " The Social Life of Birds", with a concentration in Cardinals and Wildcats- no one ever told Banana Hammock that wildcats were not birds.

Following seven years at the two year community college they took on a professional swingers career where after meeting and helping multiple sets of twins find themselves, they also went on to find other men.

But most recently they have been hired by commissioner Gordon to keep the crime off the streets in multiple subdivisions throughout the united states of America. God Bless these two hero's as they continue to keep the Morning Steel Mill Safe as ever.

Retire me on tuesday?

Hey Ya'll,

Chunky soup Talking head and Super Bowl Champion Micheal strahan has decided to call it quits. Other than he should go on to be a great spokesperson for the ADA( American Dental Association) I have to say that he was an ok athlete. Not allot of trouble and great attitude on and off the Field.

In other NFL news the Chicago Bears released Cedrick Benson following his arrest early this week with illegal prescriptions. Yeah note to self I make a gazzilon dollars a year playing a sport for my living- let me go out and screw it up immediately. He should contact Micheal Vick sometime and talk about what winners they are-seriously.

Finally I am kind of disappointed from the Nix Hater, what no new word to unleash greatness on the world. Just a bunch of math problems that no one can understand. The morning steel mill still awaits greatness.

It's my 31st Monday!

Hey Ya'll ,

First off Hooray for me. Today is my 31st birthday- I have survived some dumb stuff through those first thirty one years and today is my day.

Well over the weekend we found out what Brown couldn't do for any of us, win the triple Crown. I find it a shame that it has been close to thirty years without a triple crown winner. I mean Horse racing is no joke( like baseball) there is plenty of money and plenty of influential people- including lots of little people. I hope that the next horse can actually do it next time around- oh and litte people I meant jockeys.

I bought the UFC fight this past Saturday night at the abode. I have to tell you that it was one of the better ones I have seen. Not a lot of knockouts, but Matt Hughes did get put down pretty bad. Just like the paragraph before I hope the next one is a lot better. ( no midget reference)

Last night I attempted to watch the NBA finals, lots of history and two of the most marketable teams in the league. I am picking the Celtics in 6. They are very top heavy in scoring and it would be WICKED cool IF DOS" CELTS CAN BEAT LA. @#$* em up?( Boring as hell)

Finally to respond to some of the comments I have been receiving I appreciate all the good and especially the bad. But to the Heckler and his vast Diction the Steel Mill is anticipating the next vocabulary feat of genius. We wait not for a cool sixteen ounce glass of HATER-ADE but just pure genius.

Friday Night's alright

Hey Ya'll,

So here it is the final day of the week. For the first time of the month I am not going on the road this weekend. Great week for the NIX , I have been on the road with Tyler most of the week.

UFC is live in ENGLAND This weekend, originally Chuck Lidell was supposed to fight but a ripped hamstring kept him form this fight- and Matt Hughs has stepped into fill the superstar position-he in my opinion is one of the most complete fighters of all time. I wish him the best of luck .

No more Hockey, few months from football- so this is called Summer. When we were kids we loved summer, now as a kinda-adult I just can't wait till football. My friend Travis and I get so excited for training camp I believe this is the first of all my big problems.

Oh well, wooooooo is me. Everyone enjoy your weekend!

Well the run is over, The Penguins fell 3-2 last evening to the Stanley Cup Champions Detroit red wings. Oh well what can you do . On paper the Penguins were absolutely fabulous- but on the score board not so much. Now the off season shenanigans of of whom is staying and whom is going will start in about a week.

Thanks for a great season, it was quite a run and quite a team. The Redwings were very good, but you have to realize we still have the best fans and the greatest sports city in the world.

City of Columbia Mayor Bob Coble stopped in the Morning Ya'll turnative this morning and we came up with some new city slogans. Here were my 6 slogans for the great city of Columbia:
